Overview

The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Unit serves as the backbone of digital innovation and technology support within the Ministry of Commerce, Cooperative, Trade and Investment (MCCTI). The Unit ensures the deployment, management, and maintenance of ICT infrastructure, systems, and services that drive the Ministry’s operations and service delivery.

Core Responsibilities

Systems Administration: Management and maintenance of the Ministry's ICT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and workstations
Website and Digital Services Management: Development, updating, and maintenance of the Ministry's official website and online platforms
Software and Application Support: Implementation and support of digital solutions to enhance workflow, service delivery, and public access to information
User Support and Helpdesk Services: Provision of technical assistance and ICT support to staff for efficient operations
Data Management: Support in data collection, processing, and safeguarding for informed policy decisions
ICT Policy Compliance: Ensuring adherence to Lagos State Government ICT standards, cybersecurity policies, and digital transformation initiatives

Ongoing Initiatives

Continuous update and content population of the Ministry’s website to improve accessibility and visibility.

Integration of ICT tools to support MSME databank and other trade facilitation systems.

Regular training and capacity building for staff on ICT tools and emerging technologies.

Achievements
