Overview

The Department of Investment Promotion is at the core of Lagos State’s investment strategy, driving both domestic and foreign capital into high-growth sectors while facilitating investor engagement through policies, programmes, and proactive support services.

Originally housed under the Office of Sustainable Development Goals & Investment, the Department was moved to the Ministry of Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade and Investment (MCCTI) by His Excellency, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, to consolidate and deepen the State’s investment facilitation efforts. Its establishment within the Ministry reflects Lagos’ ambition to become Africa’s model megacity and most attractive destination for global capital.
