The Agribusiness Support Unit plays a pivotal role in driving Lagos State’s agro-industrial transformation by advancing policies, programmes, and capacity-building initiatives that promote competitiveness, inclusiveness, and sustainable development in the agribusiness ecosystem. The Unit works in alignment with national and global best practices and partners with relevant agencies to implement technical assistance, develop frameworks, and stimulate investments in agriculture value chains and food systems across the State.

Flagship Programmes

E-COMAGBUS

Management Capacity Building for MSME Operators in Agribusiness and E-Commerce

Launched in 2022, E-COMAGBUS trains and empowers MSMEs in Lagos' agribusiness sector to adopt digital tools for enhanced productivity, market access, and visibility. The programme bridges the digital divide in agricultural trade by equipping operators with practical e-commerce skills and tools.

NAADI Lagos State Office Facilitation

The Unit successfully coordinated the establishment of the Lagos State Operational Office of the Nigeria Agribusiness and Agro-Industry Development Initiative (NAADI) in partnership with FMITI. This milestone ensures:

  • Domestication of NAADI in Lagos
  • Local access to agro-industry development frameworks
  • Direct training and sensitisation of agro-industrialists and processors on funding, partnerships, and policy benefits
