Lagos State Cooperative College (LASCOCO)

Overview

The Lagos State Cooperative College (LASCOCO) is a specialised institution established under Section 2 of the Lagos State Cooperative College Law, 2018 to provide formal and non-formal education in cooperative studies, enterprise development, and microfinance. As a flagship educational agency under the Ministry of Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade and Investment (MCCTI), the College plays a strategic role in strengthening the knowledge base of cooperative societies and advancing inclusive socioeconomic development through education.

Mandate

• Offer technical and vocational education to cooperators and the general public
• Conduct applied research to support cooperative development and enterprise growth
• Deliver learning in cooperative economics, microfinance, ICT, and other relevant areas
• Support policy implementation through training and academic input
• Serve as a knowledge hub for both local and international cooperative advancement

LASCOCO is:

• Approved by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE)
• Enlisted under the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB)
